Meet our engineer Mario Kütt

How long have you worked at Steelhouse, and what do you like most about the company?

I have been working at Steelhouse Group Estonia OÜ for three years. What I like most about the company is the continuous opportunity to work with innovative solutions and be part of projects that raise the standards of engineering. I also greatly appreciate the company’s commitment to quality and precision, which is essential for a mechanical engineer.

How would you describe your colleagues and work environment?

My colleagues are highly qualified specialists with whom it is always a pleasure to collaborate. The work environment is very supportive and open to communication. All ideas and suggestions are welcomed, and teamwork is valued here, which makes solving complex problems more effective.

What does your work involve? What does a typical workday look like?

My work involves designing machines and mechanisms, optimising their components and improving production processes. A typical day starts with a project review, followed by calculations, design work and preparing technical documentation. I create 3D models, run simulations, and coordinate with the production team to ensure projects progress smoothly in all aspects.

What do you like most about your job?

What I enjoy most is solving diverse technical challenges daily and implementing projects that demand both creativity and technical precision. Additionally, it is very satisfying to see the results of my work come to life and contribute to our clients’ success.

Do you have a favourite project? Which one?

My favourite project was a development task where we optimised a production line mechanism, which allowed the company to significantly increase productivity. This project required several unique solutions, and the results exceeded the client’s expectations, making it especially rewarding.

What is the hardest part of your job?

The most challenging part of the job is finding a balance between innovation and practicality.  Every solution must be not only technically brilliant but also cost-effective and feasible with available resources.

How much experience do you have in your field?

I have over 10 years of experience in mechanics and engineering, with the last three years dedicated to working at Steelhouse.

Is there any other service or product you think Steelhouse could offer its clients?

Steelhouse has the potential to expand its services in the field of automation and robotics. For example, we could offer customised solutions that would help clients further automate and optimise their production processes.

How do you spend your free time? Do you have any exciting hobbies?

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and photography. These hobbies provide a good change from technical work and allow me to express creativity in a different way. I also keep up with the latest developments in technology, which I try to apply in my work.
